The Melody of Love
Secrets of the garden are unexpressed delight,
flame of passion burning, only two can ignite.
Transcending lines of color, creed, hatred and spite,
such is the sweetness of which the poets do write.
To see your love's visage, pleasing joy of the sight,
the cherished persona of the true treasured light,
a contentment of heart, affirming this as right,
dreams of pleasure abound, appearances invite.
The melody of love is the voice of the night,
a song to lift the spirit to a greater height.
Placing us where only angels can dare alight,
a heavenly Earth on which emotions take flight.
