The Man

In my dreams, I'm in control. I'm a God, but he's always there.
You're always the one I seek after, but he's always there too.
The one I fear the most asleep or awake, the one also seeking you.
How does he always find me? Better yet, how does he always find you?
The Man. The man always has a different size, height, even color.
He smiles at me every chance he gets, continuously discovering you. Then glides into the sunset with my dream girl.
I can never beat him at his own game.
There are monsters in my dreams that I've never feared, nor a height nor fear of falling.
He is the only one that I fear.
The Man.
When I wake, my feeling for you metamorphosizes into a more intense love.
The Man.
He changes me without me realizing it, bringing tears to my eyes and you closer to me.
The Man.
Who is this man?
He forces corrections in my life while I'm awake.
The Man.
Should I fear him?
Should I embrace him?
