The Compromised Man
Your words are like the deepest of infections
Spreading throughout all of my perception
Mutating into an uncontrollable disease
Relentlessly, you resolve, your need to just feed
Your mind can’t process proper nutrition
Leaving you susceptible to complete submission
For the truth terrifies the depths of your soul
Inside you are aware that you’re no longer in control
Yet you continue to send out your messages and cues
Yearning and burning to uncover something new
Little boy lies, little boy cries,
Little boy, desperately needs to Not compromise.
