That Faraway Look In Your Eyes

THAT FARAWAY LOOK IN YOUR EYES

I’m waiting for you here,
thinking ‘bout you all night long
Can’t believe what you said,
thought our love was deep and strong

You say, you think our love is broken,
Can’t be fixed with crazy glue
I said I think you must be joking
Now I see you believe it’s true

Chorus
There is a faraway look in your eyes
I can see it…
There is a leaving me look in your eyes
I can feel it

You say, you know just what I’m thinking
And you know all the bad that I do
Just when did you stop believing?
You’ve left me here, feeling like a fool.

You keep checking up on my cell phone,
Wondering if she’s calling me
You follow wherever my eyes go,
Imagining all it is I see

Chorus
There is a faraway look in your eyes
I can see it…
There is a leaving me look in your eyes
I can feel it

I’ve been thinking about our love,
thought for sure it was going to last
Funny how your mind, can play tricks, and
I see the wheels have come off the tracks.

I’ve never been with anyone else
How could you think so low of me?
I’m obsessed with no one but you,
But, you’re imprisoned by your jealousy

Chorus
There is a faraway look in your eyes
I can see it…
There is a leaving me look in your eyes
I can feel it

Repeat chorus

Finale

I’m still waiting for you here
Thinking about you
all night long.
