Sorrow Brings Strength
Of bereavement for a nation
long ago blessed by God,
a loved one no longer at the table,
the environment of earth struggling
to be an Eden.
People clamoring for bread,
a roof over their chilled body,
some young and older-
hoping for a kind word from parents,
pray for them who seek love,
sorrow brings strength.
Do not let your tears
flow down into silent repose,
give of your heart,
your money at times,
doesn't matter if you're
not wealthy,
the philanthropy of the
people like you and I,
who are hurting themselves too-
sorrow begets action,
sorrow brings strength. ~
