Love Poem: Shadow Footprint

Shadow Footprint

Shadow footprint of yesterday
When hand-in-hand along the shore
Betrayal waves washed all away
Grains of love lost forevermore

A crimson sunset disappears
Shadow footprint of yesterday
Misty eyes blink to hold back tears
Heart breakers never have a say

Temptress of life without grace
Harvest of hurt hid deep within
Shadow footprint of yesterday
This Heart will never love again

Loneliness endless and wanton
Pain of love left to permeate
Fleeting sorrow not forgotten
Shadow footprint of yesterday
