Love Poem: Quiet

Quiet

In the quiet of the stars where we played
full of fun and laughter, could you see
how much you’d come to mean to me?
I died a little as life moved on and I stayed.

I miss your protective arms and stance
in the quiet of the stars where we played.
When you saw that I had strayed,
you gently steered me back with dance.

Without you near, I am lost and lonely
wondering if you in gossamer fade
in the quiet of the stars where we played.
Almost surely you watch over me.

You were, and are, the world I’d made
with all my fondest memories of love.
I pray His arms embrace you above
in the quiet of the stars where we played.
