Love Poem: Our Meadow

Our Meadow

There is a place for you and me
it is in a meadow beneath a tree
The Springtime lingers longer there
with apple blossoms in the air

I remember laying on the grass
with Lilies dancing by the path
The grass was moving on the go
Like Oceans rocking to and fro

The Meadow Lark he entered there
then sang his song for us to share
and when he finished his cherished song
we looked away and he was gone

You held me close to you that day
so close in fact you begged me stay
I felt your heart in time with mine
you poured my glass, I drank your wine

I tell myself I will return one day
to our lovely meadow so far away
For now I have fond memories shared
for a time and place when you once cared...
