Love Poem: My Summer Solstice (Fiboquatro)

My Summer Solstice (Fiboquatro)

Gee
How
I love
The night, when
It’s still, for there is
Great love that blooms, across the room
Gleaming and sparkling ere my very eyes, teasing me

I listen not to the old radio, flashing the evening news
Instead, I watch the silhouette dances in stillness of the night
That cares of the days slip onto oblivion, ‘cos I’m, with muse
Sandwiched between the silky sheet and a mattress of delight

Sheltering us, from occasional yet gentle breeze
Skin to skin that I feel like a
Hummingbird, when my
Own summer
Solstice
Is
Here
