Love Poem: Mom

Mom

Mom,
I sat in my car after church listening to sad songs on the radio
Fat raintears running down the glass tumbling from black clouds
Clinging to a gray sky
How does God do that I wondered...
Not thinking about you

And then the sky parted
The rain ceased, making way for a blue canvas
Dotted by an orange sun
How does God do that I wondered...
Not thinking about you

More sad songs
A new sky...
I thought about you
Fat tears running down my face tumbling from memories I do not want
Of you
Gone forever...

Why does God do that
