Missing You

I REMEMBER WHEN WE USE TO SIT IN OUR DINING ROOM AFTER DINNER JUST TALKING

ABOUT ANY AND EVERYTHING

I REMEMBER WHEN WE USE TO TAKE WALKS AROUND OUR BLOCK EVERY SATURDAY
MORNING

AT THAT TIME I WAS SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU IN MY LIFE

AND I WASN'T THAT THANKFUL UNTIL YOU WAS GONE

EVERYONE KEPT TELLING ME YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO SEE ME SO SAD AND MOURNFUL

SO I SUCKED UP ALL THE TEARS AND CARRIED AROUND A LOAD OF GUILT

FOR THE NEXT 15 YEARS

NOW I AM A CHANGED PERSON BECAUSE I LEARNED TO FORGIVE MYSELF

THE DAY I WON'T FORGET WAS TWO DAYS AFTER YOUR DEATH WHEN I WENT TO YOUR GRAVE

I FELT YOUR PRESENCE THERE AND I SMELLED YOUR FAVORITE PERFUME AROUND ME

I TURNED AROUND AND SAW A LITTLE GIRL THAT LOOKED LIKE YOU

THROUGH A PUDDLE OF WATER UPON THE GRASS BUT IT TOOK ME A SECOND

TO REALIZE THAT THE GIRL WAS ME
