Love Poem: Make Me Forget

Make Me Forget

A touch, a dance,
a smile, a joke.
I’ll take any kind of human connection.

A grope, a sordid hand fishing for pink,
come home with me.
A mouth bent into a snarl, a hastily thrown obscenity.

I’d be so grateful.
Just give me something to talk about,
think about
that isn’t him.
