Love is universal, it encompasses everything.
But describing it, there are not enough words.
The ultimate emotion, it makes us do anything.
To experience loves song, as sung by a rare bird.
A feeling that first finds the heart, not the mind.
We may react before we think things through.
Sometimes spontaneity, we may find.
Is the most logical thing to do.
To love, is to give, but also to take.
A mutual exchange, of all that we are.
An all in sometimes frightening commitment that we make.
So intimate, so passionate, most intense by far.
Love can bring us joy, it can also bring pain.
It can be all things that we we would ever desire.
In love, we can lose much, but there is much to gain.
It may start as an ember, that ignites a raging fire.
True love, is a gift, never to be abused.
It is the best part of us, that we share.
It is not meant to be squandered not to be misused.
It is meant to be given and handled with loving care.
