Love Poem: Love a La Moderno

Love a La Moderno

Thy lips- a safe refuge, a fertile soil,
An amorous land of bliss where flowers,
Bloom and fruit is ripe and plump,

Thy hair- flowing locks, free and joyous,
Dancing in the wind, they shine as if,
Enamoured with jewels and pristine gold,

Have I forgotten thine eyes?
A reflection Of heaven and earth,
A magnificent union of amber, olive and saffron,

Alas, thou inner fairness radiates,
Brighter than all,
How not to love thy warm smile?
Knowingly crafted by thy kind heart-
fluttering like the wings of angels,

Bring me peace with thy reassuring wit,

Guidance with thy ancient wisdom,

Strength from thy fervent optimism,

And, thy love- if you are willing to accept,
Mine own.
