Love Poem: Lost In the World of Lonely

Lost In the World of Lonely

Sitting here in the darkness
With an old memory swimming in my head
I'm lost in the world of lonely
I miss you being here in my bed

Yesterdays dream has shattered
It's impossible to hold onto you
I'm lost in the world of lonely
I can't get you out of my head

Lost in the world of lonely, lost in the world of lonely
It's more than this used heart can take
Loving you was my best decision
In the end my biggest mistake

You smiled and my world brightened
My special angel who eclipsed the sun
I'm lost in the world of lonely
Where have you gone my special one

I miss you being here in my bed
The essence of you still swims in my heart
I'm trapped in the world of lonely
Wanting you tears me apart

Lost in the world of lonely, lost in the world of lonely
It's more than this used heart can take
Loving you was my best decision
In the end my biggest mistake

When you promised me forever
I didn't make any other plans
That's why I am here and lonely
I am just a one woman man

Not a real story I wrote this for Anne's Lyric contest.
