Little Sis In Mom's Rocking Arms

All the golden clouds that slowly
drift away have the lovely tint
of the strawberry-red sunset;
little sister in mom's arms is tenderly
lulled by her with a whispering voice
that barely breaks the deep silence.

Little sis in mom's rocking arms,
are you sleeping or are you dreaming?
And holding Colonel Giggle Cheeks,
you squeeze her gently giggling;
little sis in mom's rocking arms,
you cover her mouth when she speaks!

A cradle song is meant for babies,
those tender ones without any worries
and they giggle in their sleep a little...
when they hear someone play the fiddle!

Little sis in mom's rocking arms,
your spoils can't be shared by anyone
older than you and what delights
mother is the joy she shares alone.
