Just One

Mark 10:8 (KJV) “And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.”

Two plus two
Does not always equal four
Sometimes, when speaking of love in the heart,
Two plus two equals much more

Two hearts plus two souls
Equals too much love for the skies,
Too much joy for the life to envisage,
Too much wonder for the mind to suppose,
Too much blessing for the prayer to imagine

Two plus two
Does not always merely equal four
Sometimes, two plus two
Equals so much more

Two lights plus two lives,
Equals too much feeling for the heart
It might even explode with the music
That plays out feelings so uncontrollable,
Feelings abiding in this dance called life,
Feelings alive because they’ve overcome strife,
Feelings bound to bring peace to the night

Two plus two
Doesn’t always add up to four
Sometimes, two plus two
Equates to something much more

Two lives who believe in love,
Two spirits who see the beauty of love,
Two blessed by the inspiration of love,
Become much more than just four numbers,
They become friendship, tenderness and passion
They become hope, healing and happiness
They become like the wind who sees through the trees,
Sings like the birds, who simply agree to be…
The gentleness of light falling over the darkest night,
The whisper of adoration feeding the heart’s hopes,
The love that is forever so much more …

Love that means – me and you, just us two
With our two hearts and two souls,
We add up to much more than just four.
We add up to a union that makes us more…
Together, glued by love that gives completely…
We have become much more than four
We have become so full because, our two, then four…
Have changed so that, together, we are just ONE!
