Love Poem: Jilly's Summer Lament

Jilly's Summer Lament

a snowbound day
so far from May,

dawns blustery and cold,

with frosted trees
and frozen breeze,

jealous winter keeps its hold,

but in the gray
a spotted robin plays,

so soon spring's song grows bold,

in longest night
and storming fright,

gleams new hope shining gold.
