It's Time To Go

Got my thumb stuck out for Amarillo.
I guess any place north of here will do.
We shared our first kiss down by that willow,
When she could still smile - our love was brand new.

I guess anywhere north of here will do.
She likes the bright lights, I still like 'em low
When she could still smile - our love was brand new.
Now she's a lady and it's time to go.

She likes the bright lights, I still like 'em low.
Cowgirls like dim lights and sawdust they say.
Now she's a lady and it's time to go -
Don't need the pickup, I'm headed my way.

Cowgirls like dim lights and sawdust they say.
We shared our first kiss down by that willow.
Don't need the pickup, I'm headed my way -
Got my thumb stuck out for Amarillo.
