Love Poem: It's Over

It's Over

Sam doesn’t love you, he adores his wife
You’re besotted, sadly he doesn't care
Forget he exists; get on with your life

You bombard him with calls, your texts are rife
Holding his photograph you sit and stare
Sam doesn’t love you, he adores his wife

You had a fling at a meeting in Fife
He was so handsome with steely gray hair
Forget he exists; get on with your life

He ignores your calls; it stabs like a knife
I guess he used you, life just is not fair
Sam doesn’t love you, he adores his wife

You cuddle your Ted, he is made by Steiff
Unlike Sam, old Ted will always be there
Forget he exists; get on with your life

Your obsession with Sam created strife
Accept he’s married, his wife will not share
Sam doesn’t love you, he adores his wife
Forget he exists; get on with your life
