Thanksgiving Day,
family is coming,
for a short stay.
Kitchen is ready,
everything shined,
cakes, and cookies,
of every kind.
Turkey, and Dressing,
flavored just right,
Green Bean Casserole,
Macarroni, and Cheese Delight.
Mashed Potatoes,
with Gravy on the side,
and Potato Salad,
with Onions, and Chives.
Baked Ham with Pineapple,
dripping with Brown Sugar Glaze,
homemade rolls,
the hit of the day.
Red Velvet Cake,
Pecan Pies, and more,
Sweet Potato Casserole,
I really adore.
It's almost time,
let the cooking begin,
so cooks get ready,
for family, and friends.
