Love Poem: It's Christmas

It's Christmas

snowing tonight ~ whispering, luminescent, dazzling,
air misty ~ wind calm, serene,
sights outside blurred, indistinct through the hazy window-panes,
rooftops getting blanketed with white laces ~
a picturesque winter wonderland,
treetops embellished with silver ornaments,
grasses caressed by soft touches of snow,
my heart is with you, craving for the profound tenderness of your company ~
It’s Christmas! Wish you were with me!

this is the first in many years,
since we met, I am alone! You are alone!
spent Christmas Days together - in inimitable happiness ~
embracing the snow...gazing at twinkling lights around ...
and at glittering stars above ~
lovingly watching us,  witnessing a tender love blossom.

our tree - we brought it every year, from the nearest farm -
you and I carried it together,
decorated together with so many precious memories ...
our little nutcracker soldier from your childhood ~
the enthralling seashell you picked up from Goa beach for me,
and I wear it as a pendant ~ brings the sonorous sound of ocean ~
created a hanging ornament.

this might be a different Christmas for us,
Christmas magic is the same,
you are away from me ~ but you are healing pains for many ~
an aura of love and kindness envelops the world as softly and gently as the shimmering snow falls,
you and I together in our dreams ~
weaving our captivating memories ...
