It's An Illusion You Are Gone
As I pass through this life
my friends continue to die
Why god brought you home to him
I can not comprehend why?
For me your death has been trying
I do not wish to ever let you go
The news that you've passed on brought with it
A pain that no one should know
When I walked into the hospital
There was so much that I wanted to say
My heart crumbled into pieces
To have to see you lie there that way
I could not stop the tears from falling
For you there was nothing I could do
So, I kissed you on the forehead
Then spoke to you the words " I love you!"
One of my best friends had to leave me
It is imperative for me to mourn
With hopes to someday understand
The reason why my heart's been torn
Memories keep you alive inside me
My friend through me you will live on
I can feel you in my heart and soul
Making it a fallacy you're gone.
