Love Poem: It Never Ends

It Never Ends

It never ends
The pain that haunts you
From the moments in time
You think of over and over again
And the fact they can
Stop you on a dime
It never ends

It never ends
The days you have to face
The loss you try to replace
With someone new
Years then slip on by
And you just don't know why
You couldn't sooner see
That with him it wasn't meant to be
It never ends

It never ends
When I think of you
I try most times to smile
Even though we haven't
Spoke in such a long while
I'd walk many miles
To see you for a second again
It never ends

It never ends
Me needing you
I believe the love we had
For each other was true
But I'll still be here being blue
Waiting for you
If that's what I must do
It never ends

It never ends
The wishing on the ringing
Of my phone
but I would still rather
Be here all alone
Then to let my feelings
For you go
As before
When it comes to you, I just cannot close the door
It never ends

It never ends
The fear of a broken heart
And how it may never mend
Or that it will become cold
Remaining tattered and torn apart
Why again did all this have to start?
Why do all these memories keep dancing around in my head
I'm not a willow I can't bend
But to you my love I will always send
Oh God,
Here they come again
It's like I said
It never ends
So tell me why do we still pretend
That we have let go
Just thought you ought to know
It still never ends
