Love Poem: It Is Personal

It Is Personal

It's easy to love the masses, to partially give,
It creates an image, we believe we live,
It builds our ego, and self esteem,
But what good is it if our hearts don't reach out personally,
It is an illusion, like a pacifier to a baby,
To hush the insecurities we can't stand facing,
Lord, I will not put down that partial giving,
Because I see the importance, the steps in our making,
It brought me to you, it brought me here,
It showed me the narrow path I hold so dear,
You touch one life, you touch them all,
The love in your smile, the simple words to a song,
The tears without words that touched my soul,
That made me stand in your love, but also allowed me to let go,
Personal is where it led me, and personal can see,
Dear God, it's much harder than I thought it would be,
There's an irony in this where the masses can't tell,
For in their assumptions, you are lost because you don't follow the crowd,
Their prayers with good intentions echo deepness divine,
They are the Pauls leading the Barnabus one soul at a time,
On every level of your love, Lord, personal speaks,
Whether it's to a million or just one, this is where your heart beats,
