Love Poem: It Does Not Matter

It Does Not Matter

It does not matter that the bright moon
Is only a planet of barren stones
It does not matter while lovers swoon
For stars of only gas, their moans
Tell me volumes more than exact proof
Joy is belief without the knowing
The mind from drab troubles kept aloof
Hope is the promise of expecting
For ignorance has more magic than truth
Vainly so called, the polluted facts
Give me again wild wonder of my youth
The honor in unpredictable acts.
It does not matter that I there's no face
For the memory of eyes or touch
Love is blind, but kinder is God's grace
And love that yearns long and much.
