Is There Any Hope For Reconciliation

Havoc has taken over this violent nation,
we don't trust our leaders less ourselves;
abolish the Laws and write up new ones?
Is there any hope for reconciliation?

A vicious policeman pressed his knees on George's neck,
and the victim died in the presence of three silent officers
and what followed next was Hellbound meant to break,
then rioters burned, vandalized, and looted stores:
were they thugs or a mob without any morality?
Some changes must be made to address equality!

Is there any hope for the reconciliation of all people,
and bring calm to a society inflicted by disease?
Hold up hands and look to Heaven for blessed unity:
without God, there can be neither peace nor prosperity!

And the latest evil act was the siege of Capitol Hill on January sixth,
some blame Trump for the insurrection: was corruption the cause
inciting the mob and destroy everything in their path with wrath?
Finally, President Trump spoke condemning death and violence!

Is there any hope for the reconciliation of all people
gathered under the star-spangled flag symbol of America's greatness;
and as long as truth is spoken with an untwisted tongue:
all freedoms are guaranteed by a document of indisputable sacredness!
