Invisible To Her Heart
Within the shadow of her light,
it's hard to watch an angel cry.
Yet how can I not feel her hurt;
when for her, I'd willingly die?
Silhouetted against the moon,
her beauty makes it hard to cope.
And invisible to her heart,
I haunt the far fringes of hope.
Blinded by her aura's splendor,
I find I cannot look away.
She makes the brightest sunrise seem,
so ordinary and blasé.
Drowning within every tear spilt,
my heart sinks when she's feeling bad.
And though she doesn't know I care,
I cringe inside when she is sad.
But I'm her secret admirer,
for she's married to my best friend.
And we once took a solemn oath;
that we'd be brothers to the end.
