No justice, No peace

Since birth, each step, that man has taken,
has molded us into who we are today.
At times perhaps our world was shaken,
and we’ve looked to God to light the way.
Now, division among us propagates like cancer,
and an outcry for social justice has grown loud.
Prayer for our country is the viable answer,
then we can unite as one, each feeling proud.
But today, some focus on revenge and hate,
and this only escalates the problems at hand.
It’s long past time for this tendency to abate,
only God can forgive sin and heal our land. *

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
