Love Poem: Interlaced

Interlaced

In the deep, warm recesses of my existence
You entered, stroking gently my resistance
And like some closed flower to your light
I opened up in sheer delight

In the predawn light of my emotion
You penetrated with true devotion
And set me free like some captured bird
As from my slumber I gently stirred

In the warm encounter of your embrace
I aroused, with upturned face
And like a butterfly to your fire
I spread my wings in pure desire

In the sensual flow of your love potion
I floated by on waves of motion
Starting deep within my soul
Making me so fully whole

In the eerie light of early morning
We enjoined as day was dawning
Passion filled with intense yearning
Touching, feeling, always learning

Then as the sun begins to rise
And ecstasy of passion dies
We lie together intertwined
In peaceful bliss that we did find
