Love Poem: Intensity

Intensity

The messiahs of my mind are savages,
Yet refined and noble, they withstand
The furnace of passing time that ravages
To carry news of global consequence.

With spears of destiny wrought electron blue
Their piercing travel sought focus eclectic,
Stimulating arcs of dream fired through
With sparking intellectual precedence.

Bridging the void to spike centres of pleasure,
The star-man employed of swastika visions,
I felt how emotional fascist measure
Oppressed ardour’s thrust of connection.

And by grains of reason and capacious desire
Unpicked the chains, the neurone steel,
Downed fences corralling with razor wire,
Unbound of treason and insurrection.

Deconstructing pale verbiage of Reich,
And avail the intensity of knowing,
The intensity of savage messiahs, godlike,
Angelically burning brutal and tender.

For beyond love’s shallow biology
Beyond the hollow spasm of physicality,
Deeper waters fathomed, deeper psychology,
I swim in your atoms of splendour.
