Instant Recognition
I did not remember anyone connecting to me this fast
There was an instant recognition
Almost as if we had known each other in other lifetimes
I am not saying we are soulmates
But maybe we are
We have bonded with a cement of commonality
a braiding of ideas and ideals I rarely see
We are united in so many ways
I feel we could discuss religion and politics
without the usual fear
I am excited about being in a relationship again
I had forgotten how enthusiastic I can be
When I am joyfully happy; now is the time.
I am openly welcoming this new chapter of my life.
