Inspiration From Above
He is wise beyond what I might have guessed
He knows the moon and calls the stars by name
He whispers sweet dreams and I know I am blessed
He helps me to know forgiveness and eases my shame
He is gentle with a kind and giving Holy Spirit power
He surrounds me with a love that is alive and forever
He accepts me with a sincere approval in every hour
He fulfills my heart with assurance that is so very clever
He is sincere with an authenticity that is alive with honesty
He delights me with all the sights and sounds of His goodness
He delivers me from the sins that nag at me so constantly
He enlightens my spirit with a caring sense of His pureness
He is strong enough to take away all my worst fears
He accepts me when I can’t even accept myself fully
He reassures me that I will have all I need through the years
He encourages me so that I won’t be hurt prematurely
He is the light that keeps me filled with sweet compassion
He fills my life with all the guidance I’ll ever think of needing
He allows me to know the joy of His beauty God has fashioned
He reminds me that I am saved because of His Son’s bleeding
He is inspiration that takes me through the best and the worst
He compels me to remember that my Jesus is truly alive
He tells me that there will never be a need for me to be coerced
He excites me with His knowledge of all that love will survive
He is love that is unconditional and gives without ever taking
He surprises me with His continual ability to mend all my hurts
He gives me all I need when I am so sure my heart is breaking
He guides me into a relationship with the One who they did pierce
He is alive and He sends His Holy Spirit to comfort and guide
He ignites a fire inside my soul that survives the worst discouragement
He heals my pain when I am fearful of the times I backslide
He loves me through the hunger and sends me tender nourishment
He is the One I love with all my heart, soul and everything in me
He whispers gentle peace into my deepest grief and sadness
He tells me that I have joy that can never be surpassed and I agree
He is the way, the truth, the life and survives the greatest madness
