Insecure

I think of you each day and night
you dwell in my heart with delight
But whenever I approach you
that cat's got my tongue
I just mumble on being ever so dumb

You smile at me sweetly telling me you must go
and I'm left again lonely wondering if you know
That I only love you but your beauty makes me shy
each time I fail to tell you a little bit of me dies

Crazy with jealousy for all the boys adore you
I daydream of sweeping you off your feet
but I can't move feeling like I'm in cement shoes
Anxiously I try to speak but my voice is too weak
you leave with some lucky boy creep

Miserable I only think of if only
all the clever things I would say to you
Uncertain that you like me keeps me lonely
I walk home alone deep in blues

If only I could speak those words of honey
If only I could gaze deep into your eyes
If only I could kiss you, you would realize
If only I could be more like that creepy guy
