Innocent Love

Drain away my tears of sweet sorrow
With your grace, a hopeful tomorrow
I fell out of love long ago, long ago, long ago
I am in this cell of sweet sorrow, sorrow, sorrow
Can we just pretend we are happy?

Loneliness drives me insane these days
It's strange how time flies in many ways
I fell out of love long ago, long ago, long ago
I am in this cell of no more glow, glow, glow
Can we just pretend we are joyous?

Bless your soul tonight, darling angel of light
Release tension from my skull with your might
I fell out of love long ago for the sake of my broken heart
I feel so much out of touch and my life's at stake from the start
I fell out, out, out of love
Long ago, long ago, long ago, so long ago
You're what I thought of
You know? You know? Oh yeah, you know

Swallow your pride and have humility
With your trace of tremendous tranquility
I fell out of love long ago, long ago, long ago
I am in this cell of feeling low, feeling oh so low

Loneliness drives me insane these days
It's strange how time flies in many ways
I fell out of love long ago, long ago, long ago
I am in this cell of no more glow, glow, glow
Can we just pretend we are glad again?

Bless your soul tonight, darling angel of light
Release tension from my skull with your might
I fell out of love long ago for the sake of my broken heart
I feel so much out of touch and my life's at stake from the start
I fell out, out, out of love
Long ago, long ago, long ago, so long ago
You're what I thought of
You know? You know? Oh yeah, you know

Drain away the pain you've inflicted me with
I am affected greatly by your life's struggles
Am I ever going to be sane in your labrinth?
I am infected by your disease-free snuggles
Breathe into me true love of make believe
Because I'm sick of feeling the urge to grieve

The ice in my soul melted for you
The fire in my heart says it's true
There's so much heartache you can't undo
Can't face the fact that you're without a clue
I fell out, out, out of love
Long ago, long ago, long ago, so long ago
You're what I thought of
You know? You know? Oh yeah, you know
I fell out of love long ago, long ago, long ago
I am in this cell of sweet sorrow, sorrow, sorrow
Can we just pretend we are happy with gracious gladness
Can we just pretend we have abundant joyfulness?
Can we pretend we're children of grand joy, of grand joy
Freedom seems like a million miles away, but just maybe
You might be the only one to make me a benevolent boy
