Love Poem: Inner Flame

Inner Flame

At first it feels so innocent,
So it frightened me that much,
That a spark I knew was imminent,
Would ignite just from her touch...
As I lay there in such disbelief,
For a moment to arise,
I could see the candle next to me,
Become the fire in her eyes...
It had left the wick just standing there,
Barely naked with no flame,
While it smoldered to be lit again,
So the wax would melt the same...
As it scorched a pathway in the air,
It would dimly light the room,
Getting trapped between our blinding
stare,
Like a star that died too soon...
Becoming lava running in my veins,
Like I've never felt before,
Feeding fire that's my inner flame,
That will burn forever more...
