In the Silence - 1

In the silence of the darkest night Whispering serenity through my soul There comes a hope so wonderful It is alive, thriving, surviving all loss With the assurance that there is love Love that builds bridges to tomorrow And heals pain with a salve of kindness Creates compassion from joy and faith Leaves only a breath of doubt behind Where it can say it has been and gone Leaving only reassurance to carry on In the silence of the final note of a song Dancing softly through the right and wrong Glorifying the creator who knows our heart And gives us the gift of His beloved Son To guide us forward, through pain and sorrow Into a world that is filled with worry and fear Dread that what is will forever be there Darkening the sunrise with distrust and disgrace Filling up the moments with disappointment Leaving only grief to color the world In hues of steely gray that beckons the way Toward doubt, confusion and disdain In the silence of the freshly fallen snow There comes a purity that innocence knows Is the reflection of hope, faith and love These three who capture the wonder of life Leaving out all trouble, apprehension and strife Filling up the moments with grace and mercy Wiping away the tears that fall like dew on roses Clinging to the cheeks of those who know Only the jewels that caress the spirit with tender Prayers, pleas for forgiveness, will discover The answer to it all is found with faith in the One Who knows our hearts and souls and loves Unconditionally, completely, without reason With a love that is always in season Saving us from the horrors of life without hope A life that knows Jesus is a life that can cope
