Love Poem: In the Lesson of Life

In the Lesson of Life

The Goddess willed me you, surely
But I am sure that,
What she mused,
Was a pure and loyal bond!

Since you made your choice clear,
I'll take it that life is just a lesson
And our results from living it
Would determine our exit points!

I shall focus on pleasing the skies
And I shall live for my death
While praying to the same Goddess
To will to me as she wills it to be!

After all, if you refused to hold my hand,
Somehow, I shall not be blamed
Someday
When the lights of death
Shall take me back there
Where our story started!

Our tale has met with its end
I shall not fight it
Rather, I shall revolve upon it
As our world herself does
Upon her own meaningless existence!

Life is a lesson
And Death shall be my final graduation
I shall have to keep learning
So that I meet with fair enough results
As to be allowed Excellence!

I am sure the Goddess will understand
Of this plight of mine
Saving my soul remains my sole aim
As for you
I pray
You get some enlightenment too
If not
Then maybe those powers ruling
Over the Goddess
Placed a bug somewhere
For reasons known to themselves!

And in my lesson,
I have just reached the last page
Of a chapter
A new one will have to offered to me
One tainted with the
Beauty of life's canvas
As
In between the lines of my curricula
There has to be room for appreciation!
