In Silence

In silence… Darkness falls, whispering In murky, hushed tones Laughing at the shadows Beneath the moon’s glow Dreaming of the outcry When thunder explodes In silence… Winter caresses the heart With flakes, drifting Over the hushed lawns Glimpsing the sigh of miracles, Wonders found in the call Breathless assurance That even the cold can smile In silence… Rustling of leaves enthrall Fascinating the skies Stirring the hopes inside With colors so alive, vibrant Hues of delight and insight Into the spirit who knows Autumn’s joy will soon subside Inviting the bitter cold In silence… Eyes meet, lifting souls So they can see the meaning Between lovers, falling Relishing, adoring, passions Rising from the lights Poured out across the lives In those who are wise enough To discern a touch of the heart In silence… We know what is means To believe, to see – to pray For the wisdom, the grace The faith to listen to the way God reminds our souls We can make it through pain, Find the joy in each day All we need to do – Is listen to silence’s truth, Find the beauty in calm, Serenity’s charm, the peace Within the colors Abiding on the quiet Who reveals the promise, Gifting hearts with consent Blessing souls with the gift Silent, love speaks its will
