Love Poem: In My Pocket

In My Pocket

Speaking for his heart, yet he is long gone,
Leaving part of his soul with me here to carry on,
Physically, I can't see you but your love left behind,
A passion so beautiful it would blind the world's eyes,
You touched my heart and handed me a gift,
No material posession could ever give,
I had nothing to offer but love in return,
My eyes are partial here to see its whole worth,
When you left i carried your soul in my pocket,
Until the time was right to come out and unlock it,
My heart watched and waited to give to the next,
Each time I took you out it put my heart to the test,
Yet through the pain of your departure, love was born,
Sharing the love you left me meant so much more,
It kept your heart beating alive in mine,
My love, you never died,
