Love Poem: In My Heart and Soul

In My Heart and Soul

He was a stray cat who suddenly one day appeared, and for this old cats safety within days- I feared; when I tried to touch his fur he hissed and growled, but, when I was inside he meowed and howled. So, I decided to save him from living on the street danger, and hoped this old cat would trust this stranger; I named him Grumpy Cat because, well he was, in no time- on my heart he left impressions of his paws. The unconditional love we soon shared was amazing, often, I would find his golden eyes into my eyes gazing; I gave him baths and after- I held for a long time to my heart, and his rusty purr rumbled and into my life he was part. For twelve years it was pure bliss- until his sudden death; when he left footprints within my soul in his last breath.
