Love Poem: In Little Ways

In Little Ways

Always coming home an hour or two late
She used to greet him at the door,
But now she doesn't ever wait

A peck or two but once a week
And that's without the rosy flush
Once upon her cheek

And that's only on their better days
Yeah, that's only on their better days
Love can die in little ways

What's a game of chance to you
A vow of "only while it's fun"
'Til then we're one in two

And after that you're on your own
And after that there's no one home

Hope you like the silence,
'Cause it'll soon be quiet

And that's only on your better days
That's only on your better days
Love can die in little ways
