In Defiance of Love
Never did like beer she said
but I always wind up in bed with beer drinkers
Her final objective was
to find love
The objective in Life, she thought, is to find Love
If you find someone who is truthful and honest
then Love may be within your grasp
If Love is truly the objective
If my affection is sincere
and my words are true
can fate deny my burning need to find Love
me thinks not
Persons who give no Love
create a hollow void in their own hearts
distancing themselves from that which they seek
those that also need Love
Mischievous spirits are all around
spirits that spoil the expectation,
Positive feelings are the first measure of good intent
but intentions can betray the heart
It has been said the blind will see
The lame will walk
and peace will rule the world
If Love is the all encompassing objective
After that time, she pondered hard her experiences at looking for Love,
at all the negatives, and soon doubt became her reward
that Love would come if her Love was an honest objective,
her experience whispered; it's a foolish pursuit to be sure
Her spirit renewed, she threw caution to the wind
Let the juices flow, let the fantasy end and reality begin!
but feel the physical bodies touch you, they're real,
she laughed in defiance of Love
