Love Poem: In Blessed Calm

In Blessed Calm

In blessed calm I rest
pink and pale and soft and light

The sun rises and I break open... smile at it
a seed bursting to life
I stretch my roots out beneath the surface
spread wide and long and strong

Lay my head down on a downy sea of grasses
and listen to the soft and gentle sweepings
of blond and willowy in the breeze

The sand beneath me is so warm
it fills my very being with safety
calm so calm... am I
because of you
safe so safe... am I
because of you
and the wind and willows are dancing together
below the dark blue sky
animals titter and weep with the joy of it
trees grow faster... taller... prouder
and it matters not what was or will be
for I am found
and found and found again
I open my arms... as you do
to the sky
and call out
with the sea gulls to the wind

I love you, I love you, I love you

and all of the universe rejoices...
angels hear and bow and blush
the seraphim sweep and dip about us, sparkling
in dazzled golden light
and God himself dressed in pale pink resides
upon his thrown
"all things lost and all things found"
