In a Waiting Room

You came back – For a while? For ever?
My heart still waits in a waiting room
Till you invite it. Perhaps never -
Perhaps I’ll take a risk – Let’s assume...

My heart rejoices at the sight of you.
It wants to run to you. It forgot
The sad time in the waiting room -
The immense longing in the spot

Without windows and a ray of hope,
With the slammed door and the cold floor.
Should it cry, again, despair, and mope?
It seems to forget what happened before...

You came back – my heart went mad.
It stands on the doorstep and waits
For your invitation, for a good word.
It’s ready to forgive you all mistakes...
