I'M Waiting
I'M WAITING
Lord, help me to look beyond myself,
And away from this world's woes.
Help me to remember this life won't last,
And I soon will know heaven's joys.
In the meantime, Lord, help me to be
Ever a loving witness for Thee.
For I know that in Your kingdom to come,
You have wonders of life all planned for me.
There will be no more troublesome days,
No more pain or distress.
And, our love for You and for others
Will always bring us sweet rest.
So teach me to be patient, Lord,
And make my faith ever stronger.
I know, in my heart, your coming is soon.
My wait will not be much longer.
