If Only I Could
If only I could bring back the hands of time,
to happy days that we sang along in rhyme,
I would travel the darkest corner of the earth,
just to feel once again the beating of your heart.
If only I could hold you once more,
I would dive the deepest part of the ocean floor,
I would conquer the heart of the ocean,
just to show you my love and devotion.
If only I could live forever,
I'd make sure that we'll always be together.
Like a diamond, I would shine eternally for you,
to remind you always that my love for you is true.
But time travel is only in fairy tale and science fiction,
and everything through it is just an illusion.
What I could only do is to cherish your memory,
for, at times, you were part of my sweetest history.
