Love Poem: I Took a Judge

I Took a Judge

I was taken to court, to see a judge
I was taken to court, to take a plea
For the first in life, stared at a lady
       The Governor’s daughter

Justice Dorina penned down, she turned up
And looked my face, did you trespass?
In the royal farm? The Judge asked
I was written yes, in the judgment book

When she stood up, to read a verdict
Dorina’s hands shook, as I looked direct
In her pupil to wait, a rope my neck
She burst out crying, judgment tears tore

In the court of law, I wiped the Judge
Who untied the ropes, disowned the books
She stopped crying, went to laugh
In the court of law, my heart took a Judge
