I Am A Maple Tree

In the evening coolness where the sprawling maple tree sighs,
Admired in strength and beauty, on innovations, our world relies.

My pairing seeds helicoptered, carried on Nature's tender wings,
My everlasting presence dwells in the pleasure my life brings.

I soar the Olympus sky and breathe the scent of Nature's change,
A gentle breeze of whistling whispers, of love stories we exchange.

I am beauty profound, in colour and variation, a symbol of prosperity,
I am the seeds of the future, of love and loyalty, the eternal verities.

I am the landscapes of dreams unknown coloured by your days,
I am the inspiration to Nature, a relief and respite from life's greys.

I am the summer of young boys dreams swinging a first home run,
I am the Autumn of your future where memories are glorious spun.

I am a harlequin of dreams in the eternal seasons of the mornings,
I am the sweet taste on life's palate, where latent dreams are forming.

Journey down my winding road, voices hushed in silenced admiration,
Dressed and veiled in splendour, my life a source of hope and adoration.

As I rise above the world to look, over God's own bountiful creation,
My heart and soul breathes in awe, in Canada's embrace of one nation.
