Love Poem: Homeless

Homeless

"this poem is not about what is written,
but what is not written. . . "

Oh don’t fall in love with me
For I’m a drifting cloud in the sky
My life is unbound and enchantingly free
A bird that can anywhere fly

Love can’t hold me forever tight
I’m a homeless butterfly
The stars and moon that shine in the night
Are my guiding lights in the sky

A free flowing river is my life
No ripple stays there for long
Can a life really be without strife?
There is deep pain in my song

A fluttering virginal candle
A dancing silent flame
Emotions love can’t handle
No one is there to blame
